Pakistan, Iran amend B2B barter trade mechanism

October 20, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and Iran have amended the Business-to-Business (B2B) Barter Trade Mechanism, 2023 SRO, aimed at promoting barter trade between the two countries.

Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, Ambassador of Pakistan in Tehran, emphasized that after an exhaustive process of deliberations, many concerns of the business communities of both Iran and Pakistan have been taken into account and addressed in the new SRO, according to a press release.

He expressed hope that the revised mechanism will substantially elevate Pakistan-Iran trade and diversify its base.

Ambassador Mudassir urged the industry and business communities of both countries to take full advantage of the new SRO and help expand bilateral trade.

He also called on the Pakistan-Iran Chambers of Industry and trade bodies to share the SRO with their members, enabling them to reap mutually beneficial trade dividends.
