Pakistan, Germany strengthen cooperation to drive socio-economic growth

October 10, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to further deepen cooperation with Germany, emphasizing shared values of peace, progress and mutual development.

Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad marking 35 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar congratulated the people and government of Germany on this historic occasion.

He said the fall of the Berlin Wall 35 years ago sent a powerful message of peace, hope and resilience to the world, symbolizing the dawn of a new era of unity, prosperity, and progress.

Tarar highlighted that diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Germany were established in 1951, and the two nations have since maintained close collaboration across multiple sectors including trade, energy, vocational training, education, health and environment.

He described Germany as a trusted development partner of Pakistan and expressed appreciation for its continued support in various socio-economic initiatives.

According to him, projects completed with German assistance stand as clear evidence of the strong and friendly ties between the two countries.

The minister emphasized Pakistan’s desire to further expand and diversify bilateral cooperation, building on the historic friendship and shared vision for sustainable growth and peace.
