December 08, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and Cambodia reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation grounded in mutual respect and shared interests.

Both sides also agreed to explore enhanced collaboration in trade, investment, and parliamentary engagement during a sideline meeting in Kuala Lumpur.

The discussion took place during the 3rd Global Muslim Business Forum (GMBF) in Malaysia, according to the press release.

The meeting was attended by Pakistan’s Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and Neak Oknha Datuk Dr. Othsman Hassan, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Mission of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

Both officials reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and discussed expanding engagement in areas of mutual interest, including regional connectivity, trade facilitation, and investment opportunities.

They agreed to continue high-level dialogue to build on the positive momentum in Pakistan Cambodia relations.

Chairman Gilani highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Southeast Asian countries.

He further noted that platforms like the GMBF provide valuable opportunities for interaction between leaders, policymakers, and business communities from across the Muslim world.

Pakistan’s engagement with Cambodia aligns with its broader strategy to deepen economic and diplomatic links in Southeast Asia. Enhanced cooperation could open new avenues for trade, investment, and parliamentary collaboration between the two nations.
