PSX to remain closed on August 14

August 12, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will be closed on Thursday, August 14, 2025, in observance of the 78th Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
A notice issued by Jawad H. Hashmi, General Manager and Chief Market Operations Officer, informs all Trading Rights Entitlement Certificate (TREC) holders, staff, and stakeholders that no trading activity will take place on the day.
The closure is part of the country’s official recognition of its independence from British colonial rule in 1947.
The PSX has extended Independence Day greetings to all market participants, marking the occasion with national pride.
Normal operations will resume on Friday, August 15.
