PSX resumes Green GIS trading with new profit rate

November 18, 2025 (MLN): Trading in the 3-Year Variable Rental Rate (VRR) Green Government Ijarah Sukuk (GIS) at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will resume on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, following a temporary suspension.
The Islamic financial instrument, originally issued on May
19, 2025, will now trade with a revised net profit rate of 10.4132%,
down from the previous rate of 10.6434%. This adjustment shows the latest
market conditions and the 6-month weighted average yield.
The new profit rate structure for the Green GIS is based on
a latest 6-month weighted average yield of 11.0232% as of November 12, 2025,
with a spread of -0.61% as per the May 16, 2025 auction.
This results in a new net profit rate of 10.4132%, which
will be applicable from November 19, 2025 until May 19, 2026. The instrument
has a maturity date of May 19, 2028.
Trading in the Green GIS was temporarily suspended following
PSX Notice dated November 5, 2025, which cited rental payment matters.
The suspension has now been lifted, allowing market participants to resume transactions in this Shariah-compliant government security.
