PSX Closing Bell: Marching to a Higher Beat

September 18, 2025 MLN: KSE100 Index closed Thursday's trading session at 157,953.46 showing an increase of 1.14 percent or 1,775.65 points.

The index remained positive throughout the session touching an intraday high of 158,082.55 (+1904.73) points.

Total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 555.465 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 76 closed up, 21 closed down while 3 were unchanged.

KSE100 index was supported by Commercial Banks with 561.01, Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. with 326.23, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 230.8, Cement with 170.42 and Power Generation & Distribution with 84.26 points.

Companies adding points to the index were ENGROH with 313.4, NBP with 128.26, MARI with 107.64, BOP with 101.29 and UBL with 82.9 points.

KSE100 Index was let down by Leather & Tanneries with 5.82, Property with 1.44, Engineering with 1.17, Chemical with 1.09 and Textile Spinning with 0.52 points.

Companies dragging the index lower were PKGP with 9.05, SAZEW with 8.89, TRG with 8.86, HMB with 7.01 and SRVI with 5.82 points.

In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 96,741.21 with a net gain of 1110.83 points.

Total market volume was 1,959.1 million shares compared to 1,499.302 million from the previous session whith traded value being recorded at 56.93 billion showing an increase of Rs.8.08 billion.

There was 547,621 trades reported in 485 companies with 332 closing up, 124 closing down and 29 remaining unchanged.
