PPL secures conditional approval for mineral exploration license in Balochistan

October 31, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PSX:PPL) has received conditional approval from the Government of Balochistan (GoB) for the grant of Exploration License (EL-331) to explore Precious and Base Metals Group and associated minerals in District Chagai, Balochistan.

This development is in line with the company’s strategic focus on diversifying beyond hydrocarbons to ensure long-term business sustainability, according to the company’s filing on PSX today.

It also reaffirms PPL’s commitment to expanding its footprint in Pakistan’s mineral sector.

The company stated that the approval process will be completed following the fulfillment of all relevant legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements.
