PKR remains flat against USD

November 26, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) gained by 0.80 paisa against the US dollar in Wednesday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 280.56 per USD, compared to previous closing of 280.57.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 281.35 and a low (ask) of 281.60.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 280.80 for buying and 281.60 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR weakened 1.53 rupees or 0.47% against the Euro, closing at 324.81 compared to the previous value of 323.27.

Against the British Pound, PKR depreciated by 1.81 rupees or 0.49% to 369.89 compared to 368.08 a day ago.

The local unit depreciated 1.26 rupees or 0.36% against Swiss franc to close at 348.03.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value weakened 0.24 paisa or 0.13% to close the session at 1.7935 versus 1.7911 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee weakened 8.77 paisa or 0.22% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.63 from 39.54.

The local currency strengthened by 0.21 paisa or 0.00% against Saudi Riyal to 74.80. While it decreased by 0.20 paisa or 0.00% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.40.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has strengthened against the US Dollar by 3.20 rupees or 1.14%. While it has fell 2.01 rupees or 0.72% so far this calendar year.

In the Money Market, the benchmark 6 Month Karachi Interbank Bid and Offer rates unchanged by 0bps to 10.94% and 11.19%.
