PKR inches up by 2.89 paisa against USD

November 04, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) strengthened by 2.89 against the US dollar in Tuesday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 280.87 per USD, compared to previous closing of 280.90.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 281.00 and a low (ask) of 281.90.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281.00 for buying and 281.95 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR gained 15.97 paisa or 0.05% against the Euro, closing at 323.73 compared to the previous value of 323.89.

Against the British Pound, PKR strengthened by 52.95 paisa or 0.14% to 368.30 compared to 368.82 a day ago.

The local unit appreciated 1.09 rupees or 0.31% against Swiss franc to close at 347.74.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value fell 0.74 paisa or 0.41% to close the session at 1.8295 versus 1.8221 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee strengthened 3.84 paisa or 0.10% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.42 from 39.46.

The local currency increased by 0.77 paisa or 0.01% against Saudi Riyal to 74.89. While it rose by 0.79 paisa or 0.01% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.47.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has increased against the US Dollar by 2.89 rupees or 1.03%. While it has weakened 2.32 rupees or 0.83% so far this calendar year.

In the Money Market, the benchmark 6 Month Karachi Interbank Bid and Offer rates unchanged by 0bps to 10.93% and 11.18%.
