PKR gains 2 paisa per USD

August 11, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated by 1.49 paisa or 0.01% against the US dollar in Monday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 282.45 per USD, compared to previous closing of 282.47.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 283.5 and a low (ask) of 284.9.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 283.85 for buying and 284.90 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR increased 54.00 paisa or 0.16% against the Euro, closing at 328.83 compared to the previous value of 329.37.

Against the British Pound, PKR deteriorated by 20.59 paisa or 0.05% to 380.07 compared to 379.86 a day ago.

The local unit strengthened 1.03 rupees or 0.30% against Swiss franc to close at 348.92.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value gained 0.44 paisa or 0.23% to close the session at 1.9133 versus 1.9177 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee appreciated 0.31 paisa or 0.01% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.32 from 39.33.

The local currency gained by 0.40 paisa or 0.01% against Saudi Riyal to 75.26. While it gained by 0.40 paisa or 0.01% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.90.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has appreciated against the US Dollar by 1.31 rupees or 0.46%. While it has decreased 3.90 rupees or 1.38% so far this calendar year.
