OGDCL taps new 1,100 BPD production at Pasakhi-14

November 14, 2025 (MLN):Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) commenced oil production of 1,100 barrels per day (BPD) from its new development well, Pasakhi-14.

The well is situated in District Hyderabad and falls under the Pasakhi & Pasakhi North Development & Production Lease (D&PL), where OGDCL holds 100% working interest, according to filing in psx.

Leveraging its in-house expertise, the company effectively delineated, drilled, and tested the structure. Pasakhi-14 was drilled to a depth of 2,183 meters, specifically targeting the hydrocarbon potential of the upper sands of the Lower Goru formation.

The well’s delivery benefited from the deployment of advanced drilling technologies, including the Rotary Steerable System (RSS), Electromagnetic Measurement While Drilling (MWD), and a nitrified mud system used for the first time by OGDCL.

These tools enabled precise directional control and preserved formation integrity, resulting in excellent well performance. The well is also outfitted with state-of-the-art ESP technology.
