OGDCL achieves remarkable boost in oil Production at Pasakhi-11 well

September 19, 2025 (MLN): In a significant development for Pakistan's energy sector, the Pasakhi-11 well in District Hyderabad, Sindh, has seen a substantial increase in oil production.

Through strategic interventions, output has surged from 610 barrels per day (BPD) to an impressive 1,500 BPD.

The Pasakhi-11 well, which is part of the Pasakhi Development & Production Lease (D&PL), is fully owned and operated, holding 100% working interest.

This enhancement in productivity is a direct result of a strategic production optimization campaign.

The optimization efforts included the deployment of a new rig to retrieve a previously installed Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) that had experienced a drop in efficiency.

Following this, a perforation wash was performed and a new ESP was installed, further maximizing production efficiency.

This achievement emphasizes the commitment to leveraging cutting-edge solutions to enhance energy output, ensure a sustainable energy supply and bolster Pakistan's energy resources, thereby contributing significantly to the country's economic growth.
