SCRA records around Rs4bn net sale of securities

July 25, 2025 (MLN): The net sale of securities for the week ended July 18, 2025, clocked in at Rs3.94bn, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs7.31bn, while the total purchase of securities stood at Rs3.37bn, resulting in a net sale of Rs3.94bn for the week.

Over the week, total inflows into SCRA through remittances, sale of securities, and dividends stood at Rs8.64bn.

Inward remittances were recorded at Rs1.26bn, sale of securities at Rs7.31bn, and dividends received amounted to Rs68.14mn.

On the other hand, total outflows from SCRA through outward remittances, purchase of securities, and taxes stood at Rs8.93bn.

Outward remittances were Rs5.53bn, securities purchased amounted to Rs3.37bn, and taxes paid were Rs25.62mn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs27.63bn, reflecting a decrease of Rs290.92mn over the week.

Meanwhile, the market value of investments made in Equity increased by Rs3.07bn to close at Rs642.38bn, while investments in T-Bills and PIBs declined by Rs2.46bn and Rs13.36mn, respectively, to settle at Rs38.01bn and Rs17.32bn.
