NDMA dispatches 20 more relief trucks to Punjab

September 10, 2025 (MLN): The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) dispatched a convoy of 20 trucks carrying essential relief supplies to Punjab on Wednesday, as part of its continued efforts to support affected communities.

The distribution of the aid will be managed by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

The supplies comprising heaters, folding beds, mattresses and quilts were sent from NDMA’s central warehouse in Islamabad, following directives issued by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

This latest operation follows a similar relief effort conducted on September 9, when a convoy of 10 trucks loaded with blankets and water cans was also delivered to PDMA Punjab for distribution.

To date, the NDMA has delivered a total of 1,660 tons of humanitarian assistance to Punjab. The comprehensive aid package includes blankets, tents, mosquito nets, water filtration units, quilts, folding beds, water cans and 17 rescue boats.

NDMA reaffirmed its strong coordination with both civil and military institutions and highlighted that it is actively monitoring all relief activities to ensure timely and efficient support reaches those in need.
