Motorbike sales jump 44% YoY in July

August 12, 2025 (MLN): Sales of motorbikes, tractors, and commercial vehicles posted strong YoY growth in July 2025, but momentum slowed on a MoM basis, as seasonal factors and cost pressures weighed on volumes, according to data released by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) on Tuesday.

Motorbikes & Three-Wheelers

Total units reached 122,441, up 44% YoY from 84,993. Atlas Honda (ATLH) dominated with 104,589 units, marking a 49% YoY increase.

MoM sales dipped 9%, with SAZEW down 42%, reflecting inventory adjustments and demand normalization.

Tractors

Tractor sales fell 18% YoY to 1,195 units, dragged by AGTL’s 63% decline. Millat Tractors posted a 45% YoY gain, but MoM sales for both manufacturers dropped sharply, down 57% overall.

Trucks & Buses

Sales rose 22% YoY to 374 units, with Master and JAC showing standout growth.

MoM, the segment contracted 49%, led by Isuzu’s 69% decline, likely due to deferred fleet purchases and financing constraints.
