October 26, 2026 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index recovered 663.59 points or 0.41% on Monday to close at 163,038.46, as renewed buying in cement, exploration and investment stocks helped the market rebound from the previous session's sharp decline.

Investor sentiment received support from easing crude prices, with U.S. oil falling more than 2% as traders weighed the threat of further attacks on Saudi Arabia's energy facilities against concerns that sustained high prices could dampen global demand. The decline in oil prices offered some relief to market participants, encouraging selective buying in heavyweight stocks.

The index witnessed considerable volatility during the session, trading within a range of 2,227.02 points. It touched an intraday high of 163,477.08, up 1,102.21 points, after recovering from a low of 161,250.06, down 1,124.81 points.
