Auction Result: SBP Sells T-Bills worth Rs.869.20 Billion

April 07, 2021 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan(SBP) conducted an auction on Wednesday in which it sold Market Treasury Bills (MTBs) worth Rs.869.20 billion for 3 and 6 months.

The auction target was Rs.900.00 billion against a maturing amount of Rs.861.00 billion.

Cut-off yields for 3 and 6 months were 7.4698 and 7.7998 percent.

The total amount offered was Rs.2,124.70 billion out of which the SBP accepted Rs.794.69 billion. The SBP received bids worth Rs.1,226.89 billion for 3 months and Rs.747.81 for 6 months out of which it accepted Rs.201.09 billion and Rs. 593.60 billion respectively. All bids for the 12-month T-Bill were rejected.

In addition, the SBP picked up Rs.74.51 billion from the non-competitive auction, making the total amount accepted Rs.869.20 billion.
