Govt ensures smooth gas supply this winter

November 25, 2025 (MLN): The government has claimed that domestic gas supply will see a marked improvement this winter, with adequate supply planned to ensure public convenience.

This came during a meeting on winter gas load management chaired by Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik.

The Managing Directors of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) briefed the meeting on the current availability of gas across the country, while senior officials from the Petroleum Division and OGRA also attended, according to a press release issued.

Minister Malik said that, following the Prime Minister’s directives, every possible measure is being taken to maintain an adequate gas supply.

He noted that RLNG connections rollout was reviewed and emphasized that this year’s domestic gas supply situation is significantly better compared to last year.

According to the SNGPL Managing Director, gas is being supplied continuously from 5 AM to 10 PM, in addition to regular supply during meal times, ensuring greater convenience for households.

Minister Malik underlined that these improvements have been made with public comfort as a top priority.
