Govt committed for development of agriculture sector on priority basis: PM

May 5, 2021: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the present government, keeping in view the vital role of agriculture in country's development and the prosperity of farmers, is committed to develop the agriculture sector on priority basis.

Presiding over a meeting of the National Coordination Committee on Agriculture in Islamabad, he directed to formulate a clear road-map based on solid steps for the revival of different sectors of agriculture under the new vision of agricultural development.

The Prime Minister also directed to ensure the provision of more facilities to farmers along with a conducive environment in view of the encouraging production of wheat, maize, rice, sugarcane and potato during the last two years.

The Prime Minister directed for effective and timely decision making to boost agriculture sector through continuous monitoring of development and consultation with all the stakeholders.
