Globally, spot gold traded near $3,428 an ounce, up $0.5 or 0.02% from the previous session.

Gold prices rose on Wednesday as concerns over the U.S.-Japan trade deal announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump dampened risk appetite, while lower Treasury yields provided additional support.
