CDC, AKD Securities link up on RAAST

August 28, 2025 (MLN): The Central Depository Company of Pakistan (CDC) has onboarded AKD Securities Limited to its RAAST Aggregator Platform, enabling investors to transfer funds instantly and securely.

The integration, supported by Microlinks (Pvt.) Limited, marks another step forward in CDC’s efforts to promote digitalization, transparency, and efficiency in Pakistan’s capital market.

The signing ceremony was held at CDC House, where CDC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Badiuddin Akber and AKD Securities Chairperson Ms. Hina Junaid Dhedhi formalized the agreement. The system is now live, allowing AKD customers to benefit from real-time fund transfers.

Under the arrangement, CDC generates a unique RAAST Investment ID in IBAN format for each investor sub-account.

Once registered as a beneficiary in the investor’s bank, funds can be transferred directly into the broker’s client account, ensuring availability for trading within minutes.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Akber said the extension of the RAAST Aggregator to AKD Securities was redefining investor fund transfers by making them “immediate, secure and responsive to evolving market needs.”

Ms. Dhedhi described the integration as a “landmark initiative,” adding that AKD Securities remained committed to delivering solutions that enhance convenience and confidence for investors.

She also appreciated CDC’s Asaan Connect, a simplified KYC onboarding solution, and expressed AKD’s willingness to collaborate on future investor facilitation initiatives.

With AKD Securities onboard, CDC has expanded its network of broker integrations under the RAAST Aggregator Module. So far, Muhammad Munir Muhammad Ahmed Khanani Securities, Chase Securities, EClear Services Limited, Zahid Latif Khan Securities, and Standard Capital Securities have joined, with more brokerage houses expected to follow.
