Amreli Steels trims annual loss to Rs3.8bn in FY25

September 24, 2025 (MLN): Amreli Steels Limited (PSX: ASTL) shared its financial results for the year ended June 30, 2025, reporting a net loss of Rs3.81 billion, down 38% from the Rs6.11bn loss booked in FY24.

Consequently, loss per share (LPS) improved to Rs12.83, compared to Rs20.56 last year.

The company’s net sales declined 59% YoY to Rs16.08bn in FY25, against Rs38.78bn in the prior year.

Cost of sales also fell 56% YoY to Rs16.01bn. This left Amreli with a gross profit of just Rs76m, a steep 97% plunge from Rs2.40bn in FY24.Gross profit margin stood at only 0.5% in FY25, compared to 6.2% in FY24.

Distribution costs contracted 51% YoY to Rs546m, while administrative expenses decreased 12.5% to Rs737m. Other income surged to Rs593m, up more than 186x YoY from Rs3m in FY24.

The company posted an operating loss of Rs1.06bn versus Rs131m in the previous year. Finance costs declined 14% YoY to Rs4.10bn.

After taxation of Rs1.57bn the company closed FY25 with a loss of Rs3.81bn, compared to Rs6.11bn last year.
