97,352 tonnes traded at Port Qasim

APP – Shipping activity remained active at the port where three ships, Prosper, Soho Trader and Tiamat Gas scheduled to load/offload Containers, Talc Powder and LPG were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-purpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Sunday.

Meanwhile two more ships, MSC Mars and Riva Wind also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

A total of eight ships namely, Cap Mayor, MSC Desiree, Prosper, Soho Trader, Cherry Dream, SBI Antares, Nicolas III and Tiamat Gas are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Talc Powder, Steel coil, Coal, and LPG during last 24 hours.

Cargo volume of 97,352 tonnes, comprising 46,755 tonnes import cargo and 50,597 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,094 Containers (TEUs), (431 TEUs imports and 2,663 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Four ships, Cap Mayor, MSC Desiree, Prosper and Tiamat Gas sailed out to sea on Monday morning, while another ship Cherry Dream is expected to sail on same day.

Five ships, MSC Candice, MSC Mars, Riva Wind, Madrid Trader and Wawasan Jade scheduled to load/offload Containers, Wheat, Project cargo and Chemicals are expected to take berths at QICT, FAP, MW-1 and EVTL respectively on Monday. While two more ships Maersk Euphrates and MSC Algeciras are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday.
