20 more passenger trains to be introduced soon: Minister Railways

February 6, 2019: Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that 20 more passenger trains would soon be introduced to provide the best possible travel facilities to the people of remote areas.

On demand of the traders about running freight train, the Minister said Pakistan Railways is ready to allow private sector to run freight train between Faisalabad and Karachi.

Addressing a meeting at the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association in Faisalabad, he said that the country's economy was on verge of collapse when the current government took over, but the Prime Minister took bold decisions and put it on the right track.

Sheikh Rashid lauded the business community of Faisalabad for appreciating the decisions of the incumbent government.

He asked the traders and businessmen to come forward and play their role for strengthening the country's economy.
