1st Ramadan to be observed as a bank holiday: SBP

May 3, 2019 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealing on the 1st of Ramadan, which will be observed as Bank Holiday for deduction of Zakat, as usual.

According to a notification issued by the Central Bank, all banks / DFIs / MFBs shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on 1st Ramadan.

However, all employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office on Bank Holiday treating it as normal working day (except for public dealing).
