SBP updates Foreign Exchange Manual

September 12, 2025 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has updated its Foreign Exchange (FE) Manual, consolidating various amendments that were previously issued through FE Circulars and Circular Letters, according to the circular letter issued to the Presidents / Chief Executives of Authorized Dealers in Foreign Exchange.

The revised manual incorporates changes across multiple chapters.

"Authorized Dealers are aware that, in recent years, the State Bank of Pakistan has made amendments to the Foreign Exchange (FE) Manual through various FE Circulars/ Circular Letters, which are already available on SBP’s website," the circular reads.

The chapters updated include areas such as remittances, exports, imports, loans, and securities. A detailed list of the updated chapters is provided below:

The updated FE Manual is now available on SBP’s official website.

SBP has further advised all authorized dealers to disseminate the information to their constituents for meticulous adherence.
