Weekly SCRA records Rs415m sale

October 25, 2024 (MLN): The net sale of securities for the week ended October 18, 2024 clocked in at Rs415.42 million, as compared to a net sale worth Rs9.41 billion recorded last week, according to State Bank of Pakistan data.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs15.48bn, which is around 64.05% lower than the figures recorded last week.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs15.06bn, which is 55.23% lower than the prior week, resulting in a net sale of Rs415.42m for the week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities decreased by Rs18.58bn while the net sale of securities decreased by Rs27.58bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs6.84bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs10.65bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs26.2bn, which marks a decline of Rs2.98bn over the week.
