September 18, 2023 (MLN): The gross sale of securities during the week was recorded at Rs5.29Â billion, which is around 69.05% higher than the figures recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan on Friday.
Meanwhile, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs4.84bn, which is just 3.39% higher than the prior week.
Consequently, the net sale of securities for the week ended September 11, 2023, clocked in at Rs454Â million, as compared to a net purchase worth Rs1.55bn recorded last week.
Over the week, the overall purchase of securities increased by Rs160m while the net sale of securities increased by Rs2.16bn.
Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs160m, while its outflow has been reported at Rs2.4bn.
The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs26.38bn, which marks a decline of Rs1.63bn over the week.
