Weekly SCRA records net purchase of Rs1.54bn

July 14, 2023 (MLN): The gross sale of securities during the week was recorded at Rs3.2 billion, which is around 5.41x higher than the figures recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan today.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs4.7bn, which is 9.2x higher than the prior week.

Consequently, the net purchase of securities for the week ended July 07, 2023, clocked in at Rs1.54bn, whereas last week, the accounts observed a net sale of Rs74.87 million.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities rose by Rs4.21bn while the net sale of securities increased by Rs2.6bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs2.46bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs1.03bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs26.52bn, which marks a rise of Rs15.79m over the week.
