December 16, 2019: The volume of the e-commerce sector in Pakistan has increased to 40.1 billion rupees.

This was stated by Joint Secretary World Trade Organization Aisha Humera Moriani at a seminar in the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

She said under e-commerce policy, special focus is being given to development and promotion of small and medium enterprises so that she said Pakistan could play an active role in the regional and global digital economy.

She said e-commerce policy would promote small businesses and exports. It will also create more jobs for many youths and create new business opportunities for young people and women, especially in remote areas.
