September 14, 2023 (MLN): U.S.A. remained the top export destination for Pakistan with $494.77 million worth of shipments against the exports of $623.2m in the preceding month, registering a fall of 20.61% YoY, the latest data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed.
This was followed by China, as Pakistan exported goods worth $198.93m to the Emirates as compared to the exports of $159.02m recorded during the same month of the previous year, depicting a rise of 25.1% YoY.
U. K. was the third on the list as Pakistan exported products worth $178.43m to the country. This figure was slightly up by 0.14% from the exports of $178.19m in the same period last year.
Germany was the fourth in line as export receipts from the region during the aforementioned period were $129.48m, depicting a significant decrease of 22.34% YoY.
Among other countries, Pakistan’s exports to the U.A.E. Dubai stood at $122.94m, marking a drop of 1.29% YoY, while exports from the Netherlands (Holland) decreased by 17.55% YoY to $119.2m.
Meanwhile, the exports to Spain stood at $117.49m, down by 1.37% YoY.
In the month of August alone, the total exports to the U.S.A. increased by 12.48% MoM. Similarly, exports from China increased by 31.42% MoM.
Moreover, exports to the U.K. also recorded an increase of 3.32% MoM.
