January 28, 2025 (MLN): The total amount of grants allocated for fiscal year 2025 (FY25) stands at $176 million, which constitutes just 1% of the country's ambitious external funding target of $19.34 billion, according to the Economic Affairs Division.
Despite this relatively small proportion, the country has already received a significant portion of these funds from the United States.
During the first five months of FY25, the country received $38.3mn in grants from the USA, surpassing the originally budgeted amount of $21mn for the fiscal year.
In another notable development, no bilateral loan allocations from the USA have been budgeted for FY25.
