Update 3: PKR hits 230/USD in interbank

July 25, 2022 (MLN): The surge in political heat and dismal macros have pushed the Pakistan rupee (PKR) to lose its ground by a further 1.63 rupees against the greenback in the intraday trade in the interbank market compared to the previous close of PKR 228.37 per USD.

The local unit was being quoted at PKR 229.81/230.81 at around 11:05 am with trades being reported at 230 per USD.
