Textile exports increased by 5% YoY in October: APTMA

November 02, 2023 (MLN): The country's total textile export registered an increase of 5.15% YoY to $1.43bn in October 2023 compared to $1.36bn recorded in the same period of last year, according to the statistics released by the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) on Thursday.

To note, this is the first increase recorded on a yearly basis after 12 months of decline.

Similarly, on a monthly basis, the exports of the same group rose by 5.15% MoM in October 2023.

However, within 4MFY24, the exports of textiles stood at $5.55bn, decreasing by 7% YoY compared to Rs5.94bn in 4MFY23.

To recall, Pakistan's total exports in October increased by 9.33% MoM to $2.71bn compared to $2.48bn in September 2023, as per the data reported by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on November 01.

Similarly, compared to October 2022, the total country's exports increased by 13.55% YoY.
