Textile exports hit record high of US$6.04bn during July-Oct FY22

November 2, 2021 (MLN): Pakistan’s textile exports touched a historic high level of US$6.04 billion during July-October FY 2021-22, depicting a yearly growth of 26.86% against the textile exports of US$4.76bn in the same period last year.

The aforesaid announcement was made by the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA). It noted that the textile exports recorded a substantial jump of 25.5% YoY during October 2021, reaching a new high of US$1.619bn from around US$1.29bn in October 2020.

While on a sequential basis, the exports of textile products increased by around 9% when compared to US$1.487bn reported in September 2021.

As 70% of Pakistan's textile exports come from the value-added sector, the industry projected exports at US$20.5bn for the current financial year, as per APTMA.
