Temporary ban for all passengers to UAE from March 19, 2020

March 19, 2020: Based on the higher travel advisory restriction due to the major outbreak of Covid-19, UAE will temporarily ban entry for all passengers of all nationalities into UAE starting from 08:00 GMT 19 Mar (Thursday 19-MAR-2020 12:00 UAE local time) until further notice, revealed a circular issued by the United Arab Emirates Government.

The ban includes the entry of UAE Residence Visa Holders, visit/tourist visa holders and visa on arrivals of all nationalities.

UAE Nationals, GCC Nationals (Except Qatar Nationals) and Diplomatic Passport Holders are exempted from this rule. However, passengers are exempted from this rule while transiting through UAE airports. In the event that the passenger was accepted to transit UAE and was later denied entry at their final destination, the Carriers will take full responsibility to accommodate and facilitate the passengers out of the UAE and back to their origin.

The above travel restriction is applicable with immediate effect and airlines are required to strictly adhere to it.
