Supreme Court dismisses NBP’s pension review petition

March 21, 2024 (MLN): The Supreme Court of Pakistan has dismissed the National Bank’s (PSX: NBP) Review Petition in the Pension Case yesterday, said a company filing on the local bourse on Thursday.

Accordingly, NBP will disburse pensions amounting to Rs60 billion to 11,500 retired employees.

The legal case involved a review petition filed by the bank to challenge the initial decision regarding pension payments.

However, after a period of six years, the Supreme Court has dismissed the National Bank's revision petition and upheld the decision to grant pensions to the employees.
