Sindh govt streamlining irrigation system for agri lands

Sindh government is streamlining irrigation system in the province to utilize maximum water for irrigation of agricultural lands.

Rs 40 billion have been allocated in the new provincial budget for this purpose. Main canals in the province will be lined at a cost of Rs 15 billion.

Meanwhile, a project in cooperation with World Bank is also being worked out for strengthening flood embankments and construction of small dams in the province.
