February 15, 2019 (MLN): The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has certified the incorporation of Sarmaya-e-Pakistan Limited, the holding company for state owned enterprises, under the Companies Act, 2017.

Finance Minister Asad Umar lauded the action in a tweet, stating that “Turning around the state owned enterprises and eliminating their losses which are eating up resources which should be used for development and welfare, is vital for economic turnaround of Pakistan.”
