SBP to remain closed on Sep 17

September 13, 2024 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, said a notice issued by the banking policy & regulations department today.

"SBP will remain closed on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 (i.e. 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1446 A.H.) on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi," the notice reads.

Rabi-ul-Awal is the third month in the Islamic lunar calendar.

This sacred day holds significant importance for Muslims because it marks the birth of their beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
