SBP to announce Monetary Policy decision on April 29

April 26, 2024 (MLN): The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will meet on Monday, April 29, 2024, to decide about the Monetary Policy.

Later on, SBP will issue the Monetary Policy Statement through a press release on the same day.

In the last MPC meeting on March 18, 2024 the committee decided to keep the interest rate unchanged at 22% for the sixth consecutive meeting.

The decision came in line with the market expectations wherein the majority of market participants were in consensus on the rate pause.
