SBP reserves rise $8.5m in a week

May 02, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $8.5 million or 0.08% WoW to $10.21 billion during the week ended on April 25, 2025, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

On the other hand, the country's total reserves decreased by $184.2m or 1.19% WoW to $15.25bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $192.7m or 3.68% WoW to $5.04bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $824.9m or 8.79%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen a decrease of $1.5bn or -12.78%.
