SBP reserves rise $49m in a week

March 20, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $48.9 million or 0.44% WoW to $11.15 billion during the week ended on March 14, 2025, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $86.9m or 0.55% WoW to $16.02bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $38m or 0.79% WoW to $4.87bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $1.76bn or 18.72%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen a decrease of $563.7m or -4.81%.
