SBP reserves rise $30.7m to $12.08bn

December 19, 2024 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $30.7 million or 0.25% WoW to $12.08 billion during the week ended on December 13, 2024, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $31.8m or 0.19% WoW to $16.63bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $1.1m or 0.02% WoW to $4.55bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $2.69bn or 28.67%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $3.86bn or 46.96%.
