SBP reserves rise $27m in a week

March 06, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $27.1 million or 0.24% WoW to $11.25 billion during the week ended on February 28, 2025, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

On the other hand, the country's total reserves decreased by $51.9m or 0.33% WoW to $15.87bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $79m or 1.68% WoW to $4.62bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $1.86bn or 19.81%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen a decrease of $461m or -3.94%.
