SBP reserves drop by $71.5mn in a week

May 18, 2023 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) decreased by $71.5 million or 1.63% WoW to $4.31 billion during the week ended on May 12, 2023, according to the data released by the central bank on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves decreased by $52.9mn or 0.52% WoW to $9.93bn.

On the other hand, the reserves held by commercial banks moved up by $18.6mn or 0.33% WoW to $5.62bn.
