SBP raises regulatory retail portfolio limit to Rs300m

October 08, 2024 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has increased the retail portfolio limit that banks can hold under the Basel Framework from Rs180 million to Rs300m.

The central bank has introduced this change to provide regulatory relief in light of the economic impacts of COVID-19.

"All other instructions on the subject shall remain unchanged," SBP said in its notice.
