SBP defers loans amounting to Rs 651 billion due to COVID-19

September 29, 2020 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan has deferred loans amounting to Rs. 651 billion, following the outbreak of COVID-19 and its impact on the economy.  

The Central Bank of Pakistan has restructured loans worth Rs 186.7 billion till September 25, 2020. Moreover, it has approved loans worth Rs. 217 billion on account of wage, Rs. 6.3 billion for hospitals, and Rs. 78 billion for investment purposes.
