Rice Exporters Delegation seeks to increase exports to KSA

A 14 member delegation of Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan and Pak-Saudi Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be travelling to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to from 11-19 May for bilateral meetings in an attempt to increase rice exports to KSA.

The delegation will be headed by Shah Jahan Malik, Vice Chairman REAP. The Consulate General of Pakistan, Jeddah, Mr. Shahryar Akbar Khan has welcomed the visiting delegation and lauded the initiative of bilateral meetings to increase Pakistan-KSA trade. He outlined the plan of meetings which included meetings with chambers of Jeddah and Makah, Business to Business networking session and meetings with leading chains of supermarkets and hypermarkets of the Western region of KSA. 

The total Rice Exports to KSA amount to 1 Billion USD per annum. The President of Pak-Saudi Joint Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Mian Muhammad said that this is a great opportunity to increase the amount of rice exports to KSA.

Vice Chairman of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has also ensured of a warm reception for the Pakistani delegates and also said that such endeavors are pivotal in increasing trade, commerce and investment between the countries. He also said that exports of rice form Pakistan have a huge potential because Pakistan Basmati Rice is famous for its quality, taste and aroma. This is the reason due to which Pakistani Rice is a favorite in KSA.

The efforts of REAP and PSJCCI have increased the demand for Pakistan basmati rice across the globe.
