RDA: Inflows reach $5.81bn in February

March 08, 2023 (MLN): Foreign exchange inflows through Roshan Digital Account (RDA) have reached $5.81 billion by February 2023 since its launch in September 2020, latest data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) showed on Wednesday.

In the month of February 2023, the overseas Pakistanis deposited $125mn into RDA compared with $110mn recorded in the previous month.

As per the data, of the total $5.81bn, $3.65bn was invested in Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs) while a $49mn investment has been observed in the equity market through RDA.

Out of the total amount invested in NPCs, $1.83bn has been invested in conventional NPCs, whereas $1.82bn has been invested in Islamic NPCs.

So far, 536,676 accounts have been opened from around 175 counties across different Pakistani banks, the data further unveiled.
